Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Day Shift Waitstaff for casual work at Queens Beach Resort. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy interacting with guests, and are committed to providing outstanding service. As a casual team member, you’ll have the flexibility to work shifts that fit your schedule, contributing to our vibrant dining experience during our busiest day periods. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly.
  • Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders using our POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and gracefully.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Clear tables, reset dining areas, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness.
  • Process payments and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 10kg.
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a waitstaff or customer service role.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (Queensland).
  • Current Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and resort services.
