Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Catalogue Sorter to join our team in Mackay. This flexible, part-time position involves the efficient and accurate sorting and preparation of promotional catalogues for distribution within the local Mackay area. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive timely information about our latest offers and products. This role offers the flexibility to fit around your existing commitments and is ideal for individuals seeking local work.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack deliveries of promotional catalogues and flyers.
- Sort catalogues into specific bundles or routes according to pre-defined instructions and local area maps.
- Verify quantities and ensure accuracy of sorted materials.
- Prepare bundles for efficient pick-up or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and follow sorting instructions accurately.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a small team.
- Basic physical fitness, capable of standing, bending, and lifting light to moderate loads (up to 10kg) for extended periods.
- Familiarity with the Mackay local area is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sorting, packing, or distribution role.
- Experience working in a retail or warehouse environment.
- Own reliable transport (car/bike) for getting to and from the sorting location (not for distribution).
