Job Description
Quest Hotel Maryborough is seeking a diligent and reliable Kitchen Steward to join our team for part-time evening shifts on an ongoing basis. This essential role ensures the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our kitchen areas, supporting our culinary team in delivering high-quality food service. Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize all kitchen equipment, including pots, pans, utensils, and dishes.
- Operate dishwashing machines effectively and safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, kitchen floors, and storage areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Support the culinary team with various tasks during service.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and hygiene standards.
- Reliability and punctuality for evening shifts.
Preferred Qualifications

- Current Food Safety Certificate.
