Job Description
Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Uniting is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Offsider to join our vibrant team in Gosford, Central Coast. This rewarding role involves providing essential support to clients in their homes and communities, enabling them to live independently and with dignity. Travel is an integral part of this position, as you will be visiting various clients throughout the Central Coast region. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and domestic assistance to clients in their homes.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, hygiene, and medication reminders.
- Support clients to access community activities and appointments, fostering social connection.
- Monitor and report any changes in client health or well-being to the care coordinator.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and client interactions.
- Adhere to Uniting's policies, procedures, and relevant legislative requirements.
- Travel across the Central Coast region to visit clients as scheduled.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable, registered vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a community care or support worker role.
- Understanding of the aged care and disability sectors.
