Key Responsibilities
- Answer Triple Zero (000) calls promptly and professionally.
- Rapidly assess emergency situations and determine the appropriate response.
- Gather accurate and essential information from callers during high-stress situations.
- Provide clear, concise, and life-saving pre-arrival instructions to callers.
- Accurately input data into computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Dispatch ambulance resources efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor ambulance movements and provide ongoing support to field crews.
- Maintain composure and professionalism in all interactions, even under pressure.
- Adhere to all SAAS policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal communication skills, including active listening and clear articulation.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in basic computer operation and data entry.
- Demonstrated empathy and a genuine desire to help others.

- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a call centre or customer service role.
- Knowledge of medical terminology or emergency services protocols.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
