Event Cinemas in Joondalup is seeking a motivated and creative Paid Intern to join our marketing team as a Social Media Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level individual to gain hands-on experience in managing and growing our digital presence. You will work closely with our marketing professionals, learning the ins and outs of social media strategy, content creation, and community engagement within a leading entertainment brand. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of social media content calendars across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
- Create engaging text, image, and video content that aligns with brand guidelines and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, mentions, and customer inquiries, responding promptly and professionally.
- Support the team in analysing social media performance data and generating basic reports.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience insights to inform content strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., promotions, events) to ensure cohesive messaging.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new campaigns and content ideas.
- Assist with scheduling posts and managing social media publishing tools.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding and active presence on major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of content creation principles (photography, videography, graphic design basics).
- High level of creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for the entertainment industry and a passion for movies.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree/diploma program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Prior experience managing social media accounts, even personal or for a club/organisation.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Basic video editing skills.
