Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Tournament Assistants to join our team for casual weekend work. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about sports and events, looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sports tournaments and events, primarily on Saturdays and Sundays. If you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with event setup and pack-down, including equipment placement and venue preparation.
  • Greet and register participants, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Provide clear directions and information to participants, spectators, and officials.
  • Help manage game schedules, scores, and tournament brackets under supervision.
  • Support the Tournament Director with various administrative and operational tasks.
  • Monitor event areas to ensure safety and compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Distribute participant kits, awards, and promotional materials.
  • Respond to participant inquiries and resolve minor issues promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain a clean and organized event environment throughout the day.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers to achieve event goals.

  • Previous experience in event support, customer service, or a sporting environment.
  • Knowledge of various sports rules and regulations.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transport.
