Job Description
Australia Post is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Part-time Morning Postie in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of mail and parcels to homes and businesses within a designated route. This position is ideal for early risers who enjoy working outdoors, have a strong sense of responsibility, and are committed to customer service. As a Morning Postie, you will be an integral part of ensuring our communities stay connected.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and prepare mail and parcels for delivery.
- Deliver mail and parcels on foot or using a pushbike/motorcycle (depending on route) in all weather conditions.
- Adhere to designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- Ensure the secure handling and delivery of all items.
- Report any delivery issues, unusual circumstances, or safety concerns.
- Operate company vehicles/equipment safely and responsibly.
Required Skills
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina to walk/cycle for extended periods.
- Strong sense of direction and ability to navigate efficiently.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- Current and valid driver's license (car or motorcycle, depending on route requirements).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or outdoor role.
- Familiarity with the Fortitude Valley and surrounding Brisbane areas.
- Customer service experience.
