Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and engaging Remote Instagram Community Moderator to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position where you will be instrumental in fostering positive and active communities across our client’s Instagram platforms. You will be the voice of our brands, interacting directly with followers, managing comments and DMs, identifying trends, and ensuring a vibrant and safe online environment. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate user-generated content and comments on Instagram profiles, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and community standards.
- Engage actively with the community by responding to comments, questions, and direct messages in a timely and on-brand manner.
- Identify and report emerging trends, user sentiment, potential issues, and frequently asked questions to the wider social media team.
- Collaborate with content creators and social media strategists to align moderation efforts with ongoing campaigns.
- Proactively seek opportunities to initiate positive interactions and encourage community participation.
- Escalate complex customer service inquiries or critical issues to the appropriate internal teams.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of brand voice, tone, and messaging across all assigned client accounts.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in social media moderation or community management, specifically on Instagram.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a keen eye for grammar, spelling, and tone.
- Deep understanding of Instagram's platform features, trends, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to conflict resolution.
- A genuine passion for social media and digital communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Agorapulse).
- Familiarity with various brand safety guidelines and privacy regulations.
