Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and efficient Voice Pickers to join our Distribution Centre team in Maitland. As a Voice Picker, you will play a crucial role in the accurate and timely selection of products for our stores, ensuring our customers receive the quality they expect. Utilizing cutting-edge voice picking technology, you will navigate our warehouse, pick items, and prepare them for dispatch. This is an ongoing full-time opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack products using a voice-activated picking system.
- Operate warehouse equipment such such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if licensed) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure correct product quantity and quality are picked.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily targets and maintain workflow.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 20kg) repeatedly.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with voice picking technology.
- Current forklift license (LF or LO class).
- Previous experience in a large-scale retail distribution centre.
- Knowledge of fresh food handling and storage standards.
