Job Description
Are you looking to start a career in a dynamic outdoor environment? Arbor Operations Gold Coast is seeking an enthusiastic and physically fit Tree Lopper Assistant to join our growing team in Surfers Paradise. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with no prior experience who are eager to learn the ropes of arboriculture, work outdoors, and contribute to essential tree care services. You’ll work alongside experienced arborists, gaining hands-on skills and knowledge in a supportive team setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled arborists with tree removal, pruning, and stump grinding operations.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment under supervision, including chainsaws, wood chippers, and other machinery.
- Prepare job sites by setting up safety zones and managing traffic control.
- Conduct thorough site clean-up, including raking, stacking wood, and chipping debris.
- Load and unload equipment and materials from vehicles.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment.
- Follow instructions from team leaders and arborists diligently.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina to perform strenuous outdoor tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Basic First Aid certification.
- Chainsaw competency certificate (advantageous but not required for entry-level).
- Prior experience with manual labor or outdoor work.
