Job Description
Are you a compassionate and responsible individual looking for casual night work on weekends? Night Nannies Australia is seeking dedicated Weekend Babysitters to join our team in St Kilda, Victoria. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, can handle evening routines, and is available for flexible shifts, primarily Friday and Saturday nights. You’ll provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children while their parents are away, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children during evening and night hours.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play before bedtime.
- Follow bedtime routines, including stories, baths, and putting children to sleep.
- Prepare simple snacks or meals as required, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's activities and well-being.
- Handle minor emergencies calmly and effectively, following established protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working with children of various ages (babies, toddlers, school-aged).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) in Victoria.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Ability to follow instructions and routines precisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a night nanny or babysitter.
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare.
- Ability to drive and access to own reliable transport.
- Non-smoker.
