Job Description
Are you a night owl looking for stable, well-paid work in a dynamic environment? Tip Top Bakeries is seeking a dedicated and reliable Bread Delivery Helper to join our Gold Coast distribution team. This full-time position involves supporting our drivers in the timely and efficient delivery of fresh bread and baked goods to supermarkets, cafes, and other retail outlets across the region during night shifts. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our products arrive fresh and ready for sale, contributing to the daily rhythm of our community. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading bread products safely and efficiently.
- Verify product counts against delivery manifests to ensure accuracy.
- Navigate established delivery routes, assisting with directions and timely arrivals.
- Maintain a clean and organised delivery vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Tip Top Bakeries professionally.
- Report any discrepancies or issues encountered during delivery promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Car or above).
- Ability to lift and move heavy bread crates and other products repeatedly.
- Reliability and punctuality for night shift work.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for manifest verification.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or logistics support role.
- Knowledge of the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.
- Forklift license (though not essential for this specific role, could be a plus).
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
