Job Description
Join the vibrant team at Bunnings Warehouse as a Casual Nursery Potting Assistant! This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have a passion for plants, and are looking for flexible day work. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our plant section is well-maintained, healthy, and ready for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in horticulture within a supportive and dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the potting and repotting of various plant species.
- Watering plants regularly and ensuring optimal moisture levels.
- Organizing and maintaining the cleanliness of the nursery area.
- Moving plants and other nursery stock as required.
- Assisting with plant care, including pruning, weeding, and pest checks.
- Following all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Supporting the nursery team with general tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and bending.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of plant care is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a nursery, garden center, or similar outdoor role.
- A genuine passion for plants and gardening.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
