Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vocational Education Coordinator to join our team in Penrith. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful development, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality vocational training programs that meet industry standards and student needs. You will work closely with educators, industry partners, and government stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of vocational education within the state government training framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning, implementation, and review of vocational education and training programs.
- Ensure all training programs comply with relevant state government policies, funding requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Liaise with industry representatives to identify skill gaps and ensure curriculum relevance.
- Support trainers and assessors in the delivery of engaging and effective vocational training.
- Monitor student progress and provide guidance and support to achieve successful outcomes.
- Manage resources and administrative tasks related to vocational education programs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes.
- Prepare reports and present findings to management and stakeholders as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in vocational education and training coordination.
- Strong understanding of Australian VET sector standards and regulations (e.g., AQF, RTO requirements).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including students, educators, and industry partners.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant learning management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Education, Training, or a related field.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
- Experience working within a state government education or training agency.
- Knowledge of local industry trends in the Penrith region.
