Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cloud DevOps Lead to spearhead our tech transformation initiatives, specifically focusing on leveraging cloud technologies to enhance our benefits platform. This pivotal role requires a hands-on leader who can drive the adoption of DevOps best practices, automate critical workflows, and build scalable, resilient cloud-native solutions. You will be instrumental in architecting, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality software and services. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps methodologies, tools, and best practices across development and operations teams.
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native applications and services.
- Oversee infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime and reliability of cloud environments.
- Collaborate with development, security, and product teams to integrate security into the DevOps lifecycle.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Manage costs and optimize resource utilization within cloud environments.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Strong background in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Solid grasp of networking, security, and best practices in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
- Knowledge of database administration and optimization in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in the telecommunications or financial services industry.
