Job Description
Cleanaway in Rockingham is offering a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Recycling Plant Operator (Trainee). No prior experience is required as full, comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to kick-start a rewarding career in the vital waste management and recycling industry. You will learn all aspects of plant operation, contributing directly to environmental sustainability and resource recovery within our state-of-the-art facility. We are looking for a committed, reliable, and safety-conscious individual eager to learn and grow with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various plant machinery and equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Monitor processing lines, ensuring smooth operation and identifying any blockages or malfunctions.
- Assist with the sorting, processing, and handling of recyclable materials.
- Perform routine pre-start checks and basic maintenance on machinery.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the plant and assigned work areas.
- Report any equipment issues, safety hazards, or operational anomalies to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
