Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and diligent Ginger Pickers to join our team in Geelong. This is an immediate opening for individuals ready to contribute to Australia’s leading fresh produce company. Key Responsibilities
- Harvesting ginger roots according to quality standards and production targets.
- Carefully sorting and grading ginger to ensure only premium produce is selected.
- Packing harvested ginger into crates or containers, ensuring correct weight and presentation.
- Adhering to all food safety and quality control procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Operating basic farm equipment safely after receiving training.
- Working collaboratively with team members to achieve daily goals.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail for quality control.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural work, harvesting, or similar outdoor labor.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Current driver's license and reliable transport to the farm location.
- Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
