Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career in warehousing and logistics with a leading Australian brand? Bundaberg Brewed Drinks is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Forklift Trainees. This is an incredible opportunity for someone eager to learn, as we will fully sponsor and pay for your forklift license training, ensuring you gain a valuable qualification and ongoing career prospects. You’ll work within our state-of-the-art facilities, supporting the movement and storage of our world-famous brewed drinks, playing a crucial role in our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in comprehensive forklift operation training, adhering to all safety protocols and instructions.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, adhering to proper handling procedures and safety guidelines.
- Support inventory management, including stock rotation, accurate record-keeping, and general warehouse organisation.
- Learn to perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
Required Skills
- Eagerness to learn and a strong commitment to completing forklift licensing.
- High level of reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Physical fitness to perform duties including lifting, standing, and moving around a warehouse environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment (even without a forklift license).
- Basic understanding of inventory principles.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience with machinery.
- Current driver's license and reliable transport.
