Job Description

Are you eager to start a career in a skilled trade? Master Kitchens & Joinery is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Cabinet Maker’s Helper to join our dedicated team in Parramatta. This is an entry-level opportunity perfect for individuals with no prior experience but a strong desire to learn the art of cabinet making. You will work alongside experienced craftsmen, learning valuable skills and contributing to the creation of high-quality custom joinery. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified cabinet makers with various tasks in the workshop.
  • Learn to safely and effectively use a range of hand tools under supervision.
  • Prepare materials, including cutting, sanding, and assembling basic components.
  • Help with the loading, unloading, and organizing of materials and finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including general workshop tidiness and tool maintenance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Perform other general labour duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Basic familiarity with hand tools (e.g., measuring tape, hammer, screwdrivers) is a plus, but not essential.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move materials.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Any prior experience in manual labor, construction, or a workshop setting.
  • A genuine interest in woodworking or cabinet making.
