Job Description
Are you eager to start a career in a skilled trade? Master Kitchens & Joinery is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Cabinet Maker’s Helper to join our dedicated team in Parramatta. This is an entry-level opportunity perfect for individuals with no prior experience but a strong desire to learn the art of cabinet making. You will work alongside experienced craftsmen, learning valuable skills and contributing to the creation of high-quality custom joinery. If you’re hands-on, reliable, and ready to grow, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified cabinet makers with various tasks in the workshop.
- Learn to safely and effectively use a range of hand tools under supervision.
- Prepare materials, including cutting, sanding, and assembling basic components.
- Help with the loading, unloading, and organizing of materials and finished products.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including general workshop tidiness and tool maintenance.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Perform other general labour duties as required.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools (e.g., measuring tape, hammer, screwdrivers) is a plus, but not essential.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move materials.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any prior experience in manual labor, construction, or a workshop setting.
- A genuine interest in woodworking or cabinet making.
