Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Instructional Designer (Assistant) to join our dynamic EdTech team. This entry-level role is perfect for someone passionate about education, technology, and creating impactful learning experiences. As an Assistant Instructional Designer, you will work closely with experienced instructional designers, subject matter experts, and multimedia specialists to develop and enhance online courses. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our digital learning content is engaging, accessible, and aligned with best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of online learning content.
  • Support the creation of engaging learning activities, assessments, and multimedia resources.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of online courses to ensure functionality, accessibility, and adherence to design standards.
  • Help maintain course materials and update content as needed.
  • Research new trends and technologies in instructional design and EdTech.
  • Provide administrative support to the instructional design team.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories.
  • Proficiency in common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design or multimedia development principles.
