Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor canning machinery and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on products and packaging throughout the canning process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.
  • Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to supervisors.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including food safety and occupational health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production targets.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 15kg.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Australia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting (even if not canning-specific).
  • Forklift license (LF) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
