Job Description

Join the team at Bunnings Warehouse in Stanthorpe as a Tool Store Assistant! We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to support our customers and maintain a pristine, organized tool department. This role offers stable day shifts, focusing on clean work and ensuring a welcoming environment for all our tradies and DIY enthusiasts. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and making informed purchasing decisions within the tool department.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the tool display areas, shelving, and stockrooms.
  • Restock shelves, ensure proper product merchandising, and accurately price items.
  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately at the register when required.
  • Unload and organize incoming tool deliveries, ensuring stock is stored safely and correctly.
  • Adhere to all store safety procedures and policies, especially when handling tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and provide a superior customer experience.

Required Skills

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and carry merchandise (up to 20kg), and perform various tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a tidy workspace.
  • Reliability and punctuality for scheduled day shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, particularly in a hardware or tool-related environment.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Forklift license or willingness to obtain one (training provided for suitable candidates).
