Job Description
We are seeking reliable and motivated Logistics Labourers to join our dynamic team in Armidale. This is an immediate hire opportunity offering competitive base pay and attractive penalty rates for varied shifts. You will play a crucial role in our warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading freight and goods, by hand or using material handling equipment.
- Sorting, scanning, and distributing products within the warehouse according to operational procedures.
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently to meet dispatch deadlines.
- Operating warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and trolleys.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to uphold safety standards.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, including manual handling guidelines.
- Assisting with inventory checks, stock rotation, and general warehouse duties as required.
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading manifests and counting stock.
- Commitment to workplace safety standards and procedures.
- Punctuality and an excellent attendance record are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar labouring environment.
- Current forklift license (LF or LO class) with demonstrated experience.
- First Aid certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transport to the Armidale site.
