Job Description
We are urgently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Alice Springs team as Casual Warehouse Dockhands. This is an an immediate start opportunity for those looking for flexible work with attractive casual penalty rates. As a Dockhand, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods through our busy warehouse, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of freight. We value safety, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. If you are physically fit, eager to learn, and ready to jump into a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading freight from trucks and containers, both manually and using equipment.
- Sorting, scanning, and organising parcels and cargo within the warehouse.
- Assisting with inventory checks and stock rotation as required.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently after training.
- Collaborating effectively with team members to achieve daily targets.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items repeatedly (up to 25kg).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Current Forklift Operator (LF) license.
- Current C-class driver's license.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
