Job Description
Are you passionate about the beach lifestyle, watersports, and helping customers find the perfect gear? Rebel Sport in Belconnen, ACT, is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Surf Shop Assistant for casual day shifts. While our store is in an inland location, we cater to a diverse clientele with interests in surf, skate, and general beachwear. This role involves providing excellent service, assisting with sales, maintaining shop presentation, and sharing your knowledge to help customers make informed choices. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product inquiries and selections.
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Maintain a tidy, organised, and visually appealing shop floor.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organising merchandise.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and care specific to surf, skate, and beachwear.
- Support promotional activities and display changes.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and transactions.
