Job Description

Join GrainCorp for an exciting and rewarding seasonal opportunity as a Silo Labourer in Truganina. This role is crucial to our grain handling operations during peak harvest seasons, offering high pay for dedicated individuals. You will be an integral part of our team, responsible for various tasks related to the receival, storage, and out-loading of grain. This physically demanding role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in the agricultural sector or earn significant income during the harvest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the receival of grain, including truck unloads and binning operations.
  • Monitor grain quality and conditions, conducting basic sampling and inspection.
  • Perform general site maintenance and cleaning duties to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  • Operate various equipment, including front-end loaders, forklifts, and other machinery (training provided where necessary).
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the out-loading of grain for transport, ensuring accurate loading.
  • Work collaboratively with the site team to achieve operational targets.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.

  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a labouring, agricultural, or industrial environment.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Forklift license (LF) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights certifications (training can be provided).
