Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Casual Shopping Centre Cleaner to join our team at Westfield Orange. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our busy shopping centre, ensuring a pleasant and safe experience for all visitors. You will work on a casual roster, which may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays, attracting attractive penalty rates. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties throughout the shopping centre, including floors, restrooms, food courts, and common areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, and vacuum cleaners safely and efficiently.
- Empty and clean waste bins, ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
- Clean and sanitize public restrooms, maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies, such as spills or accidents.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or hazards observed during shifts.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in good working order.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleaning standards.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliability and punctuality for all rostered shifts.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial cleaning role, particularly in a retail or high-traffic environment.
- Familiarity with various cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Current First Aid certificate (desirable).
