Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically fit Shopfitting Labourer to join our project teams for night shifts. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in the successful setup and refurbishment of retail spaces across Hamburg. Working predominantly during non-trading hours, you will assist skilled shopfitters with various tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled shopfitters and carpenters with the assembly and installation of retail fixtures, shelving, and displays.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring safe handling and storage on-site.
- Prepare work areas, including basic demolition, site clean-up, and waste removal.
- Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision (e.g., drills, saws).
- Perform general labouring duties as required to support project progress.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work collaboratively with the project team to meet deadlines and project specifications.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labouring, construction, or shopfitting environment (6+ months).
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license (Class B) is a plus.
