Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Seafood Sorters in Byron Bay. This is an immediate hire opportunity for those who are ready to contribute to a fast-paced and essential part of the seafood supply chain. As a Seafood Sorter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and preparation of our products before they reach our valued customers. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully inspect, sort, and grade various types of seafood according to quality standards and specifications.
- Remove any substandard products, foreign materials, or waste.
- Operate basic processing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety protocols.
- Assist with packing and labelling seafood products.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cold and damp environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety principles (training provided).
