Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Research Pharmacist to join our dynamic pharmaceutical research team in Berri, South Australia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects aimed at advancing pharmaceutical science and improving patient outcomes. The successful candidate will be involved in all phases of drug discovery and development, from early-stage research to clinical trial support, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and scientific rigor.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute pharmaceutical research experiments, including drug formulation, stability studies, and pharmacokinetic analysis.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of novel drug delivery systems and dosage forms.
- Analyze and interpret complex scientific data, preparing detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including chemists, biologists, clinicians, and regulatory affairs specialists.
- Maintain meticulous laboratory records and ensure all research activities comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature, technologies, and regulatory guidelines relevant to pharmaceutical research.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and intellectual property filings.
- Provide pharmaceutical expertise and support for ongoing clinical trials and observational studies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical research or development.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and drug formulation principles.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques relevant to pharmaceutical research.
- Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- Experience with advanced analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (TGA, FDA, EMA) for pharmaceutical products.
- Experience in writing scientific publications or patent applications.
