Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer to join our dynamic team in Alice Springs. Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound in accordance with established protocols and quality standards.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning, radiation protection, and dose optimisation for all examinations.
• Operate and maintain a variety of advanced imaging equipment, performing daily checks and troubleshooting minor issues.
• Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, medical specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, professional standards, and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Proven experience as a Radiographer in a hospital or private practice setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in a range of imaging modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centred approach.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and practices.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-graduate qualifications or certifications in specific imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI).
• Experience with advanced imaging software and PACS systems.
• Previous experience working in a regional or remote healthcare environment.
