Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Orchard Offsiders to join our team for the upcoming seasonal pruning and picking period in our orchards near Amberley, Ipswich. This is a crucial role that supports the successful cultivation and harvesting of our premium produce. You will be involved in various tasks across the orchard, ensuring the health of our trees and the quality of our harvest. This is a physically demanding role performed outdoors in various weather conditions, perfect for individuals who enjoy working in nature and contributing to a vital industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform seasonal pruning tasks according to specific orchard requirements and supervisor instructions.
  • Carefully pick and handle various fruits, ensuring quality and minimising damage.
  • Assist with general orchard maintenance, including weeding, trellising, and irrigation setup.
  • Operate basic farm equipment safely, as required (e.g., ladders, picking platforms).
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols and food safety standards.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
