Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Operations Data Coordinator to join our team, focusing on critical civil and mining projects in Geelong, VIC. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our operational data, supporting project efficiency, and informing strategic decision-making. You will play a key part in the data lifecycle, from collection to reporting, ensuring our project teams have the insights they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, collate, and manage operational data from various project sources, ensuring timely and accurate input.
- Implement and maintain data quality controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all datasets.
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards on project performance, progress, and key metrics for stakeholders.
- Assist in identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement within project operations through data analysis.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and other departments to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Maintain and optimize data management systems and databases relevant to civil and mining projects.
- Support the implementation of new data collection and analysis tools and processes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data entry, data management, and data analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data validation).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- A foundational understanding of civil construction or mining project lifecycles and operational data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience with industry-specific software (e.g., Pronto, SAP, or mining-specific data systems).
- Basic knowledge of SQL or other database query languages.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar data coordination or analysis role within the civil construction or mining sectors.
