Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Operations Data Coordinator with a focus on Civil & Mining Projects to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing, analysing, and reporting on critical operational data to support decision-making and project performance. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to ensure data integrity, timely reporting, and the effective use of information across our civil and mining operations. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and an understanding of project environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and maintain operational data from various sources related to civil and mining projects.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations on key performance indicators (KPIs), project progress, and resource utilisation.
  • Develop and implement data management best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of information.
  • Support project teams with data analysis, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT and operational teams to optimise data collection tools and reporting systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of project forecasts, budgets, and schedules by providing relevant data insights.
  • Ensure compliance with company data governance policies and industry standards.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on data reporting tools and processes.
  • Participate in project planning meetings to understand data requirements and reporting needs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in data coordination, analysis, or management, preferably within civil, construction, or mining sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modelling).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is highly regarded.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and project lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or project management software (e.g., SAP, Pronto, Microsoft Project).
  • Knowledge of civil engineering or mining operations, equipment, and processes.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure or resource projects.
  • Certification in data analytics or project management.
