Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to join our team at Discovery Parks – Port Augusta. This full-time, on-site role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a quiet, independent work environment. As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests during the overnight hours, handling late check-ins/check-outs, and performing light administrative and security duties. Key Responsibilities
- Manage late guest arrivals and early departures, ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out process.
- Conduct regular security patrols of the property, including buildings and grounds.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and requests during night hours.
- Handle emergency situations with calm and efficiency, contacting appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Perform light administrative tasks, such as preparing reports or processing bookings for the next day.
- Ensure public areas are tidy and presentable for the morning shift.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems.
- Assist with minor maintenance issues or guest services as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for reservations and administrative tasks.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shifts.
- Valid driver's license (preferred for site patrols).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, or security role.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local area attractions and services.
- Experience with property management systems (PMS).
