Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Natural Language Processing (NLP) Tech professional to join our innovative AI team in Crawley. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and optimizing NLP models and systems that power our next-generation AI solutions. You will work on challenging problems, contributing to projects ranging from conversational AI and sentiment analysis to information extraction and machine translation. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust NLP models and algorithms.
- Pre-process and analyze large datasets of unstructured text for NLP tasks.
- Integrate NLP components into broader software systems and applications.
- Conduct experiments and evaluate the performance of NLP models, iterating for improvement.
- Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP research and technologies.
- Contribute to code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.
- Document technical designs, processes, and results clearly and concisely.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Solid understanding of NLP concepts, algorithms, and techniques (e.g., tokenization, parsing, entity recognition, sentiment analysis).
- Experience with NLP libraries and frameworks such as spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers, or similar.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience working with large text datasets.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying NLP models.
- Knowledge of various deep learning architectures for NLP (e.g., RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience in an Agile development environment.
- Publications in relevant NLP or AI conferences.
