Job Description
Mercure Griffith is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Guest Service Agent to join our professional team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring their stay is comfortable, memorable, and seamless from check-in to check-out. This position requires flexibility for shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of our 24/7 operations. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and efficiently handle check-ins and check-outs.
- Manage reservations, modifications, and cancellations with accuracy.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, local attractions, and dining options.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
- Process payments, maintain accurate guest accounts, and handle cash and credit transactions.
- Operate the hotel's phone system, directing calls and taking messages.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance) to fulfill guest needs.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, brand standards, and safety procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in using hotel management software (e.g., Opera PMS) or similar systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Guest Service Agent or Front Desk Receptionist.
- A diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management.
- Fluency in additional languages.
- Knowledge of the Griffith area and local attractions.
