Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Green Waste Sorter to join our team in Broadbeach. This is an outdoor, hands-on role involving the manual sorting and processing of green waste materials. You will be an integral part of our operations, contributing to environmental sustainability by ensuring proper waste separation and preparation for recycling or composting. This role offers stable full-time employment with weekly pay, working on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort green waste materials (branches, leaves, grass clippings) from other contaminants.
- Operate basic sorting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised sorting area.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with other yard duties as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform manual labour and lift moderate weights repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify different waste materials.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a waste management or outdoor labour role.
- Basic knowledge of different plant and green waste types.
- Current driver's license.
