Job Description

GrainCorp is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for an Entry Level Grain Bunker Operator position in Lismore, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated candidates with no prior experience to join a leading company, receive comprehensive training, and become an integral part of our operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of grain, contributing to the smooth flow of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various machinery, including augers, conveyors, and front-end loaders, under supervision (training provided).
- Assist with the receiving, out-loading, and transfer of grain and other commodities.
- Perform general site clean-up and maintenance duties, ensuring a safe and tidy work environment.
- Conduct visual inspections of grain quality and report any discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve operational targets.
- Complete necessary documentation and reporting as required.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- A commitment to safety and following procedures.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and shifts, especially during harvest periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Australian Driver's License.
- Prior experience in an outdoor, manual labor, or agricultural setting (e.g., farm work, construction).
- Experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., tractors, forklifts, loaders) – even if informal.
- White Card (General Construction Induction Training).
