Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Frozen Food Packers to join our dynamic team in Penrith. This ongoing, full-time position offers premium chilled rates and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality frozen food products. As a Frozen Food Packer, you will be crucial in ensuring our products are correctly packaged, labelled, and prepared for distribution, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality within a chilled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pack frozen food products into appropriate packaging according to specifications.
- Inspect products for quality defects and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Accurately label and stack packaged goods onto pallets.
- Operate basic packing machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all hygiene and safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation as required.
- Follow all food safety and occupational health and safety (OHS) procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a chilled or cold storage environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 15kg repetitively.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or warehousing environment.
- Forklift license (though not essential for this role, it's a bonus for potential growth).
- Current food handling certificate.
