Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of various irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, pivot).
- Monitor irrigation schedules and ensure optimal water distribution to crops.
- Identify and report any faults or inefficiencies in irrigation equipment.
- Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on pumps, filters, and pipes.
- Operate and maintain basic farm machinery and tools safely.
- Assist in preparing fields for planting and harvesting, as required.
- Maintain accurate records of irrigation activities and water usage.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with the farm management team and other staff members.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an agricultural setting, even if informal.
- Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of water conservation practices.
- First Aid certification.
