Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivated Dog Daycare Supervisor to lead our dedicated team in Leamington Spa. This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely loves dogs, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses excellent leadership skills. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our daycare facility, ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of all dogs under our care, and managing a team of passionate daycare attendants. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of the dog daycare floor, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for all dogs.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of daycare attendants, fostering a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.
• Implement and enforce all safety protocols, procedures, and company policies to ensure the well-being of both dogs and staff.
• Conduct temperament assessments for new dogs and manage group play dynamics to prevent conflicts.
• Administer medication as required and monitor dogs for any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes, reporting concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility, including play areas, kennels, and common spaces.
• Communicate effectively with dog owners regarding their pets' day, behavior, and any concerns.
• Handle customer inquiries, bookings, and resolve any issues with professionalism and care.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and administrative tasks as needed.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a dog daycare, kennel, or similar animal care setting.
• Proven leadership experience, including supervising and training staff.
• Extensive knowledge of canine behavior, body language, and group play management.
• Ability to confidently manage large groups of dogs of varying breeds and temperaments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with staff and clients.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making under pressure.
• High level of energy, stamina, and physical capability to work in an active environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills for record-keeping and scheduling.
• Valid Canine First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in dog training, animal behavior, or pet care.
• Experience with positive reinforcement training techniques.
• Previous experience with a booking and scheduling software specific to pet care.
• A veterinary assistant background or additional animal health training.
• Driving license and access to own transport.
