Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable Demolition Offsiders to join our dynamic teams across various projects in the Docklands area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to engage in manual work, learn new skills, and contribute to significant urban development projects. No prior demolition experience is required, as full training will be provided. You will work closely with experienced operators and site managers, playing a crucial role in preparing sites, assisting with demolition tasks, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled operators with demolition activities, including manual dismantling, clean-up, and material sorting.
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform general labouring duties as required to support project progress.
- Assist in the setup and pack-down of demolition sites.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (White Card is highly desirable, but can be obtained with assistance).
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Previous experience in a manual labouring role, preferably in construction or demolition.
- Basic understanding of demolition processes and equipment.
- Current driver's license and reliable transport.
