Job Description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Anglicare Australia is seeking dedicated and compassionate Community Care Offsiders to join our growing team in Orange, NSW. In this vital role, you will provide essential support and companionship to individuals within their own homes and local community, helping them maintain independence and enjoy a higher quality of life. This rewarding position involves travel within the Orange region, allowing you to connect with diverse clients and contribute directly to their well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, and grooming, with dignity and respect.
  • Assist with domestic tasks such as light housework, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities and outings.
  • Facilitate transport to appointments, social engagements, and community events.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or well-being to the care coordinator.
  • Adhere to individual care plans and maintain accurate client records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for clients.

Required Skills

  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Satisfactory National Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Disability) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a community care, aged care, or disability support role.
  • Local knowledge of the Orange region.
