Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to experience the unique lifestyle of remote cattle station work. As a Cattle Station Offsider, you will be an integral part of our team, learning all aspects of station operations in the stunning landscape of regional Western Australia. All meals and basic accommodation are provided on-site, making this an ideal role for those seeking adventure, practical skills, and a genuine outback experience. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with livestock handling, including mustering, yard work, and drafting.
- Performing general station maintenance tasks such as fencing, water point repairs, and infrastructure upkeep.
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and vehicles (training provided where necessary).
- Participating in bore runs and checking livestock health and welfare.
- Contributing to a safe and positive team environment.
- Learning and adhering to all animal welfare and safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Basic communication skills.
- Resilience and adaptability to remote living.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manual driver's license (car).
- Experience with horses, motorbikes, or quads (desirable but not essential).
- First Aid certificate.
- Mechanical aptitude.
