Job Description
Join the lively team at EVENT Cinemas in Broome as Casual Arcade Staff! We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals available for day shifts who are eager to provide exceptional customer service in our bustling arcade environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, has an eye for detail, and thrives in a fun, fast-paced setting. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our arcade is always running smoothly, assisting guests, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist arcade patrons with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, managing change and operating point-of-sale systems.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on arcade games, reporting complex issues to management.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the arcade area, including emptying bins, wiping down machines, and sweeping floors.
- Manage prize counter redemptions, ensuring stock accuracy and pleasant customer interactions.
- Monitor game play to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the arcade.
- Attend to guest inquiries and resolve minor complaints promptly and professionally.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic numeracy for cash handling and prize redemption.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled day shifts.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, retail, or entertainment venue.
- Familiarity with arcade games or entertainment technology.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (if applicable for wider venue responsibilities).
