Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Signage Installer Assistant to join our dynamic team at Signs Express Coventry. As an assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced lead installers in the safe and efficient installation of a wide range of signage, from small decals to large-scale fascias and intricate vehicle graphics. Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead installers with the preparation, transportation, and installation of various types of indoor and outdoor signage.
• Safely load, unload, and organize materials and equipment at the workshop and on client sites.
• Prepare installation sites by ensuring cleanliness, proper measurements, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Learn and apply proper installation techniques for different signage types under direct supervision.
• Handle and maintain a variety of hand and power tools responsibly and safely.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of workmanship and with meticulous attention to detail.
• Adhere strictly to all company and site-specific health and safety regulations.
• Travel efficiently to various client locations, often working outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and the public.

Required Skills

• Strong work ethic and a genuine eagerness to learn new skills.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects safely.
• Comfortable working at heights (e.g., on ladders, scaffolds, or elevated platforms) with appropriate safety training.
• Basic understanding of common hand tools or a strong willingness to learn their use quickly.
• Excellent timekeeping and proven reliability.
• A positive attitude, proactive approach, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Full, clean UK Driving License.
• Previous experience in a trade, construction, manufacturing, or a similar installation-focused role.
• Valid CSCS card or other relevant health and safety certification.
• Basic familiarity with signage materials, fabrication processes, or installation methods.
• First Aid certification.
