Job Description
Are you passionate about working with your hands, have an eye for detail, and eager to learn the craft of cabinet making? Joinery Solutions Tasmania is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Cabinet Maker Offsider to join our workshop in Wivenhoe. This entry-level role is perfect for hobbyists, recent graduates, or anyone looking to start a career in bespoke joinery. You will work alongside experienced cabinet makers, assisting with various tasks from preparing materials to assembling components, gaining invaluable practical experience in a dynamic workshop setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified cabinet makers with daily tasks in the workshop.
- Prepare materials, including cutting, sanding, and cleaning timber and panels.
- Support the assembly and installation of cabinet components and finished products.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and finished goods.
- Learn and adhere to all workshop safety procedures and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Basic understanding or interest in woodworking and cabinet making.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
