Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Asset Manager to join our Real Estate team in Bunbury, Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging professional to contribute to the strategic management and performance of our diverse real estate assets. The successful candidate will work closely with senior Asset Managers, providing critical support in financial analysis, reporting, market research, and the implementation of asset management strategies. This role offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in property portfolio optimization within a leading Australian property group.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the monitoring and analysis of asset performance against budget and strategic objectives.
- Support the preparation of financial models, forecasts, and valuations for real estate assets.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of asset management plans and strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on asset performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks affecting the portfolio.
- Liaise with internal departments, including property management, leasing, and development teams, to ensure coordinated asset strategies.
- Assist with due diligence for potential acquisitions or disposals.
- Participate in tenant engagement and retention initiatives as required.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated understanding of real estate principles and investment fundamentals.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in real estate, finance, or a related analytical role (internships count).
- Familiarity with property management software or investment analysis platforms.
- Basic knowledge of property valuation methodologies.
- Driver's license and willingness to travel locally for site visits.
